Winter is right around the corner and you may be wondering how you're ever going to make ends meet. We'd like to help you out of the winter bill paying rut by introducing you to PowerPACT.
PowerPACT, developed by Maine Public Service Company, is a payment assistance and incentive program for qualified customers. Who knows...you may just be one of them.
You might say the PACT in PowerPACT means "Power Account Catch-Up Time." If you meet the qualifications listed below, a credit of $105, $120, $145, or $220 will be applied to your MPS account, a credit that you wouldn't otherwise ever get.
You qualify for the PowerPACT program if you:
are a residential customer of Maine Public Service Company
are not receiving a housing subsidy
are eligible for and receive HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program) during the 2007-2008 program year;
accept a free PowerPACT audit if your energy usage was greater than 4,000 kWh last winter and your November 1, 2007 balance is greater than $100
WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO MAKE PAYMENTS DURING THE MONTHS OF NOVEMBER THROUGH MARCH TO PREVENT LARGE WINTER ARREARS. FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE, WE OFFER SPECIAL PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT PLANS.
PowerPACT can help you avoid unmanageable account balances and even help you greet spring with a little money in your energy account. ACAP will certify your eligibility when you apply for HEAP.
