Maine Public Service Receives High Marks in 2011 Reliability Performance Standards

Maine Public Service continues to exceed each of the standards set by Maine regulators. Our customers consistently tell us that providing reliable power is important; and, in 2011 we acheived high marks in all categories.  Major investments in system upgrades have a direct effect on improving and maintaining high system reliability standards.

Each year Maine Public Service measures eight key service-quality areas to track how well we are performing in our services to customers.  Through customer satisfaction surveys, frequency and duration of power outages, and the amount of time it takes to respond to an emergency or answer customer calls, MPS measures performance against a rating system of benchmarks.  See the attached Report Card for details.
