Energy Experts Speak at PowerSmart Maine Expo
Governor LePage’s top energy advisor, Ken Fletcher, will be the keynote speaker at two PowerSmart Maine expos to be hosted by Bangor Hydro and Maine Public Service. Vendors also will be on hand to offer information on efficient heating and cooling technologies, home weatherization, electric vehicles, and more.
Fletcher will discuss ways that Mainers can lower their energy costs. In Presque Isle, a panel discussion will follow including: Gerry Chasse, President and COO of Bangor Hydro and Maine Public Service; Roger Willette, Fujitsu; David Hazel, Mitsubishi; and Joey Ouellette, installer of ductless heat pumps. Senator Susan Collins will address the importance of energy alternatives by video message.

The PowerSmart Maine expo in Presque Isle will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Aroostook Centre Mall. The Bangor expo will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Spectacular Event Center.
Vendors will include contractors, installers, manufacturers, utility companies, electric vehicle dealers, and more. There will be a mini split heat pump and electric vehicle demonstrations and informational talks. Door prizes will be awarded and refreshments will be served. Attendees who are customers of Bangor Hydro or Maine Public Service will be entered into a drawing. The winner will be eligible for a discount on a mini split heat pump purchase.
